affy2mega.pl is a tool to convert Affymetrix SNP output data files, as written in text format, to mega2 or merlin format, which is conventional format for most genetic analysis programmes
Two files are required to run affy2mega.pl: affymentrix file and pedigree file. Both files must be a plain text comma- or tab-delimited. Also, model file may be used if needed.
The program is free software and you may get this package from ftp.
This program is a Perl script. On most *NIX systems this is installed by default. On Windows, think of installing Cygwin (*NIX emulation system) or ActivePerl (http://www.activeperl.com). Modules used: Getopt::Long, Pod::Usage.
